Siegfried's Restaurant and German Biergarten: A Taste of Authentic German Cuisine in Sarasota

DING DONG WE HAVE A 5 STAR CHAMPION! This is a fantastic, 100% authentic German restaurant. I grew up with Wiener Schnitzel and I can guarantee you, this one tastes just like the ones you’d eat in Germany/Austria/Vienna. The potato salad is excellent, the Apfelstrudel is just like my mom makes it in Austria. The Leberkäse is phenomenal. Great beer selection in many sizes round out the offerings. I was highly impressed and would say this is the best German Restaurant west of Germany.

The best of the best in Sarasota! An authentic German gastronomy experience. Great customer service from our server Rodrigo! He was very personable, knowledgeable with the menu and always ready with a recommendation. They were very accommodating and fun, accepting a last minute reservation for a group of 5. Love the Pork Schnitzel with Jager sauce! The vibes are great, the food is delicious, and the environment is so welcoming. Don't skip it if you're in town! Please make a reservation in advance as it fills up quickly.

Fantastic authentic German food. Casual, comfortable and cute. Everything on the menu is excellent (we sampled half of it in one shot)! All the employees also seem to love the food/culture and where they work. Overall great experience and will happily return

Siegfried’s is a real gem in Sarasota. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent beer! I love coming here and sitting outside enjoying the weather a cold beer and fun music.

500/5 stars! Have lived here for 3 years and meant to try this place, and now this will be a staple in our household. Truly authentic German food, with the same taste, ambience, and service that I would get back home in Austria/when visiting Germany. Fantastic experience all around, absolutely thrilled to have this here! I had the Leberkäse, my dad had the schnitzel. Both were ausgezeichnet! Oma’s potato salad was spot on, and the entire meal felt like a hug from my Oma. Thank you!

We were visiting the nearby Ringling estate when we decided to stop in for an early dinner. As a party of five without a reservation, we were sadly told they were already fully booked for the night. The space is very small inside- only accommodating 7 tables so it wasn't shocking they couldn't take us in. That's when we noticed they had "bar" seating and asked if we could sit there. After hearing a yes we were off to the races. And thank goodness for that because this was a five star meal in every sense of the word. After traveling Germany for a whole summer- this may just be the best German food I've ever heard. Feeling overwhelmed by your spectacular meal and seeking refuge? Head to their gender neutral bathroom where a sound machine is playing bird noises. Spectacular from start to finish. Five stars!!

The best German food far away from home (Germany). We met René and Kim (the owners) in 2019 for the first time, shortly after they had opened the doors of their gorgeous restaurant Siegfried‘s. Their passion and commitment for serving their guests real homemade German food already for 5 years now - like my granny, mum and partner use(d) to cook it at home makes us happy. Every time, we visit Sarasota/Siesta Key, we already book our table early in this super cute and with love decorated restaurant. You are not „kicked out“ of the restaurant when you have not yet finished your last drink because in Germany that is not the way to treat your restaurant guests. So many Florida/Sarasota locals love this restaurant and we - as non locals - love it, too. They don‘t have a giant menu full of dishes. They serve well chosen german (and partially Austrian) dishes which are very well made and of extremely good quality. Even the sauce is homemade by the owner. We will always love to come back.
